Interfaces and Hardware#
Hardware interfaces often decide whether a SoC is actually usable in the final product. A processor can look suitable on a block diagram but still fail if the board cannot expose the right display, camera, network, storage, or industrial I/O combination.

Available Guides#
| Topic | Why It Matters |
|---|---|
| MIPI DSI vs LVDS vs eDP vs HDMI | Display interface choice affects panel sourcing, cable design, resolution, EMI, and Android/Linux bring-up. |
| MIPI CSI Camera Interface Guide | MIPI CSI, sensor drivers, ISP support, Android Camera HAL, and Linux V4L2 shape camera products. |
| Ethernet, CAN, and RS485 for Industrial SBCs | Industrial gateways and HMI panels often depend more on stable field interfaces than raw CPU performance. |
| eMMC vs SD vs NVMe for Embedded Products | Storage choice affects boot reliability, updates, endurance, factory flashing, and field service. |
| Thermal Design for Fanless Embedded SBCs | Fanless products need realistic power, enclosure, heat spreader, and throttling checks. |
How To Use This Section#
Use interface guides before committing to a board or carrier design. The SoC datasheet, module pinout, board schematic, connector layout, BSP support, and mechanical constraints must be reviewed together.
